Personalized Hand-Engraved Journal Charm

Make your journal uniquely yours with a charm engraved with your own words.

Choose the text you would like to have engraved: from a name or initials to a meaningful word, date, or short phrase. Your chosen text will be carefully hand-engraved, one letter at a time, using traditional engraving techniques.

Unlike laser engraving, hand engraving gives each piece its own character. Subtle variations in depth, spacing and line make every charm genuinely unique, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

Available in brass or silver, each charm is engraved in an elegant script style and made especially for you.

Both brass and silver will naturally develop a patina over time, gradually changing in appearance as they are handled and exposed to the air. This natural ageing process is part of the beauty of the materials, allowing your charm to develop its own character and story over time.

Attaching your charm

To attach the charm to your journal, simply weave the elastic in front of the charm and then behind it.

The holes are approximately 2 mm in diameter. If you use a thicker elastic and need wider holes, please leave a note at checkout so I can accommodate this when making your charm.

Please note

Shown here are Paper Republic's leather Le Trifold (Venezia) in A5, paired with the large charm, and Le Portfolio in A6 (Chestnut), paired with the small charm.

The journal, portfolio and ribbon/cord are not included. The listing is for one single personalized charm.

Please leave your chosen engraving text as an order note at checkout. Enter the text exactly as you would like it to appear on your charm.

Spaces do not count towards your character limit, while punctuation marks do.

Once your order is placed, I will contact you to discuss the layout and placement before I begin engraving.

Please allow 4-6 weeks to create the piece before shipping to you.
